What can I keep in Hoedex?
Encounters organised by nationality, with a date and an optional nickname and note. Each encounter gets a passport stamp. The map shows the nationalities in your story, rather than where the encounters took place.
Do I need internet or location access?
Your map and journal work offline. Internet is needed to save changes to your account, restore them on another phone and use Friends. Hoedex does not ask for your location.
Can I back up or sync my journal?
Private saving is in preparation. It will let you restore encounters, notes, dates and stamps using the same account and provider: Apple or Google. Before changing phones, you will need to check in Settings that everything is saved. Without an account, your journal stays only on that device.
Can I change the app's language?
Yes. Hoedex supports English and Spanish. Choose your language in Settings and switch whenever you like. Your nicknames and notes stay just as you wrote them.
When can I download it?
Hoedex is being prepared for iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later. The download link will appear here when it is available. No release date has been announced yet.
